FAQ

What images do you take?

We take both 3D dental scan and 2D pano images.

How do I make an appointment?

For 3D dental scan or 2D pano in New York simply contact us using our online form or call us directly and we will quickly work to confirm your appointment and details. Once you’re confirmed you can come to our downtown New York office for your 3D dental scan in the time frame provided.

How do my patients and I receive the scanning results?

We will provide you with a DVD containing all the images as well as the software necessary to view the results. We can also send a download link via email so you can download all the images and software.

How long will the appointment take?

Appointments typically take between 15 and 20 minutes and can be scheduled with minimal advanced notice as long as we confirm it.

Is your scan located at a Tribeca dental practice?

Yes, the scan is located at Tribeca Advanced Dentistry. However, we do not solicit business from patients referred by other dental offices. The scan is performed by a technician and the doctor does not have any interaction with the patient.

What does a 3D dental scan allow me to do that a standard x-ray can’t?

Our 3D dental scan allows you to see your patients’ skeletal system in immense detail as well as in a variety of angles. This provides you with the critical information you need to more quickly – and efficiently – diagnose patients, map out dental implants, and ensure that your procedures are safe.

Is the radiation the same as a standard x-ray?

Because our 3D scanner is able to quickly and effectively complete a full scan with one shot, you are able to acquire high-quality images with extremely low radiation exposure and X-ray dosage.

Is there any pain or discomfort?

Not at all. The scan is quick and painless.
